This Band was actually active in Flixton, Manchester, and was the band of F Company, the 4th Volunteer Battalion. The band was active from 1872 - about 1935, when it disbanded. With the abolition of the Volunteer movement and formation of The Territorial Army in 1908, the band became The Flixton Band.
