The band was formed from the defunct L M S under the conductorship of Alf Aspinwall in 1939 and rehearsed in the Law Courts Cambridge Arcade and I was sworn in as special aged 10. When the new police station was open we reheased there and later to be conducted by his son Harold. I played principal cornet with.the band until the late 50s when I left brass bands to play with or chestras. Richard Taylor aged 92. (2/08/2020)
