The <a href="https://brassbandresults.co.uk/bands/east-berks-silver-band/">earlier Waltham St. Lawrence band</a> was founded in 1886, but in 1950 renamed itself "East Berks" and subsequently relocated itself to Reading. This band was founded to return banding to Waltham St. Lawrence.
