Contest cancelled due to a paucity of entries
Though there were 70 bands registered with the Association and that a record 500 pounds ($1000) prize money on offer
only 7 bands entered viz St.John Ambulance Brigade (only "A" grade entry) , Kogarah Municipal, St.George District, Glebe District Silver, Wollongong Steelworks, Cowra District & Katoomba Juniors provided entries for grades "A," "B" "C" "D" and Junior .
