Info received from 'morgand1' that Carmarthen later sued the Eisteddfod organisers for prize money as they claimed the winning band (Welshpool) should be disqualified for including 'clarionets' in the band when the rules stated ' all brass bands with no less that 16 players'. Result of appeal not known
