Cwl by David Chaulk is an, “energetic, jazz-infused romp for band”, with mallet percussion providing a constant pulse. Wellington Brass Band recorded the work shortly after the composer’s unexpected passing in 2018 in a studio project for the composers’ publishing company. Cwl is Welsh for cool.
